How can I claim the rebate?

Register your interest to be notified when the Climate Smart Energy Savers applications open. 

Please note - registration of interest is not an application and does not guarantee eligibility for a rebate. Households will need to apply for a Climate Smart Energy Savers rebate using the correct application form when applications open.

Rebates provided under the program cannot be higher than the total cost to purchase and install an eligible appliance. Rebates are available until the program’s funding is exhausted.

 

How do I know how much I'm eligible to claim?

The standard rebate of $800 will be available to all eligible Queensland households. Low-income households will be eligible to claim a $1000 rebate. 

To be eligible for the low-income additional component, individual applicants must meet the Low Income Tax Offset threshold defined by the ATO.

 

How many rebates are available? 

A maximum of 1,500 rebates will be available for energy-efficient hot water systems.

 

How many times can I claim the rebate? 

Only one rebate will be available per household.

 

I recently had my Solar Hot Water System or Heat Pump installed. Can I qualify for the rebate?

The rebate is only available for customers who purchase and install their appliance on or after the program commencement date on 4 September 2023 until the program closes. 

 

Can this rebate be combined with other offers and incentives?
